Information

Head lice are common in BC communities.

Although they are a bother, head lice are not a health risk.

Head lice spread quickly by close, head-to-head contact.

Lice cannot live on furniture or carpet, and they cannot jump or fly.

There may be few or no symptoms, but itching may occur.

RAINBOWS
From hurt, through healing, to hope.
www.rainbows.caRainbows is an effective peer support program for children who live in
single-parent families, step-families, or families in painful transition. The program provides an opportunity for participants to meet new friends who have shared similar experiences.
There are trained caring adults who help the children while they sort through and understand their grief.
Rainbows helps the children come to a healthy acceptance of what has happened to their family.
There is also a group for the parents to attend.New registrations are now being accepted for this fall’s program in the Colwood and Langford area.

Kids Plus™ Accident Insurance offers protection against the unexpected costs of injury from accidents,
and is especially valuable for families who:

  • do not have medical or dental plans,
  • have limited plans, as it may help supplement health and dental benefits, or
